Explore and learn about locations around the world with information dots from Wikipedia. Search for a city, neighborhood, natural reserve, landmark, or address, then discover nearby attractions as green dots on the map.

Future updates will include more features and improved functionality, such as filtering options.

Tap or click a green dot to open information about that place. The page first uses your browser language when available and adds English Wikipedia information for missing the rest. Use Hide English in Options to show only places from your browser language.

For selected places, use the Details for visitors button in the popup to load extra visitor information on demand, such as opening hours, website, phone, fee and accessibility when available.

Privacy and data statement

This page uses open data from OpenStreetMap/Nominatim for place search and Wikipedia for fast nearby sightseeing dots, using your browser language first and English as an extra source when useful. Extra place information may link to Wikipedia and OpenStreetMap. The map loads nearby dots from Wikipedia first because it is much faster than heavy global map database queries.

When the page loads, your browser may ask for GPS/location permission so the map can start near your position and show nearby sights directly. You can also press the location button later to center the map again. Your position is used only in your browser for the current map view and is not stored on MarkAndMap servers.

We may use Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage data via cookies, only if you allow cookies. No personally identifiable information is collected by MarkAndMap through this page.
