Historical Maps loads public map images from Wikimedia Commons and the Leaflet library from a content-delivery provider. These providers receive normal request information such as your IP address when your browser contacts them.
Markers and their text exist only in the current page session and are not saved to your MarkAndMap account or sent to MarkAndMap servers. If you use PNG download, your browser asks you to choose a screen or tab to capture; the captured image is processed locally in your browser.
This page does not load Google Analytics or use advertising cookies.
